Chocolate Cake

1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
3 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups milk
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

Cream together butter and granulated sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in vanilla extract. Alternate milk and flour mixture until everything is mixed, batter will resemble chocolate mousse. Bake 13"x9" pan for 35-40 minutes until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean.
